For Oregon
I had a blog post cued up for today, but after the shooting in Oregon it didn’t seem right to act like things were business as usual. My heart hurts for those who lost loved ones and those who will deal with the trauma for the rest of their lives. I am so grieved that this keeps happening. There are no words or sentiments to ease the pain. I am not here to give my opinions on what could or should be done. There are plenty of others who do that more eloquently than I can. I think that it is important that we don’t forget that these are human beings and not just fodder for the 24 hour news networks. Their lives matter and should be honored. Today I will honor them in my own way. I will hug my kids extra tight and try not to forget how lucky I am.
